This Weekend, I ...
Hello all, found the perfect linkup for what I'd already planned to post today...
This weekend, I went to see an AMAZING Talking Heads cover band, HeartByrne. Genius name if you're familiar. I rocked (and drank, whoops), my face off with some best buddies:
This weekend, I cheered on the Ginger in the Austin Startup Games. Its anetworking event bar games tournament for some companies around town. He and his partner were eliminated in the third round of Beer Pong. :(
This weekend, I spend Saturday night in watching 2 movies I've been meaning to get to, Drive and Flight. Flight was not what I was expecting, but good. I could only get through the absurd violence of Drive because of Ryan Gosling. Obvs.
This weekend, I woke up Sunday morning to hike in the Austin greenbelt. I've been feverishly trying to break in my hiking boots for Peru and am lucky to be able to hike right in my own back yard...
This weekend, I went on a mad cleaning dash in my room. Floors, sheets, bathroom, laundry, all of it. It felt amazing.
This weekend, I made dinner with the roomie and caught up on Honey Boo Boo. The Christmas special we watched warmed my little heart. They really are great people.
This weekend, I watched the season finale of DOWNTON ABBEY. Ginger and I didn't get the second hour of the finale on DVR so we set our alarm and woke up to watch a later showing in the middle of the night. Yes, really. (S like that is why he's the best.) I won't spoil for anyone, but WHAT THE SHIT DOWNTON?
Great, great weekend.
Also, don't forget about Meg's Mingle Monday!

I haven't gotten into Downton Abbey, but I always want to call it "downtown." Clearly I'm not part of the cool group. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Honey Boo Boo and her family; they're pretty lovely people who embrace their awesomeness. Just saying.
;) Thanks for linking up, Casey!
Oh man, I love a good cleaning session, just makes everything feel right in the world!!
ReplyDeleteI hated Drive. Even RG and Carey Mulligan couldn't save it for me. Found you through Mingle Monday! (ps-- the poodle sketches in your header are ADORABLE!!)
ReplyDeleteI love that you set an alarm to watch the second hour! I better go make sure mine was recorded!! I'm supposed to be deep cleaning right this minute, but I have so much blog reading to catch up on! Drive was intense, and I really hated the violence, but it was still a good movie. Have you seen the new one they're working on together? It's going to be even worse! Yikes! http://www.ifc.com/fix/2013/01/only-god-forgives-teaser-ryan-gosling-nicolas-winding-refn
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to see both Drive and Flight. Will have to redbox ASAP.
ReplyDeleteOMG, the Honey Boo Boo Christmas special almost made me shed a tear. I love that sweet family.
