Sweet Home Alabama
...well it's not really my home, but I did go there. I'd never visited Alabama, or really spent any time in the deep south, so everything was all new to me! Here's a little photo dump/recap of my time there...
Friday:
First we had lunch at The Club. It was a cute little members-only club where we went to dine and take in the beautiful Birmingham Skyline...
We then bopped around town and explored the old downtown area...
...and the fun and delicious Avondale Brewery:
Saturday:
We bopped around Homewood, Alabama for lunch and checked out tons of cute local boutiques:
... and then had to drive to Arab, Alabama for a wedding. It was in this ridiculously precious little white country chapel:
The wedding itself was laid-back, fun and kind of an old-fashioned Southern throwdown. It was magnificent. Does there ever come a time in life when sparklers aren't fascinating and hilariously fun?
... please tell me no.
Sunday was spent doing lots of recovering and Traveling. Boo.
Generally, I had a GREAT time! Parts were a tad overwhelming (i.e. meeting the in-laws, childhood BFFs and a country wedding in Arab, AL), but all in all a wonderful little jaunt. Can't wait to go back!
