Guest Post - Thanks Meg!

Happy Day before Thanksgiving! I'm SUPER PSYCHED to announce a sweet guest poster today! Gals, one of my favorites, Meg! From Life of Meg!

I asked her to post for me this season of thankfulness because her blog is always an instant pick-me-up for me. I find her so positive, uplifting and very in touch with her many blessings. She's really the best. Here goes!

Hello bloggy friends! I'm Meg from [Life of Meg] and I couldn't be more flattered to be guest posting! I can't thank sweet Casey enough for inviting me to guest blog - I am so thankful to have such a great blog girlfriend! She's always sending me the sweetest notes asking me why I'm so chipper and upbeat. When I asked her what she was looking for in a guest post, she said exactly that. How are you so happy? Well I figured I would give you a little clue from this little reminder that I found on my Pinterest. Isn't it true? When I take the time to love and take care of myself, the flood gates of happiness open! Seriously. Here are a few little tips...

{ How To Jump Start Your Happiness }

1) Random Acts of Kindness This is a big one. Nothing lifts my spirits faster than doing something thoughtful and spontaneous for someone - stranger or friend. Needing some ideas? - Send flowers to a friend for no occasion - Pay for the stranger's Starbucks behind you in the drive-thru (it's a rush of giggling and warm fuzzies - promise!) - Bake some goodies to share with co-workers - Buying a little surprise for your significant other...

  2) Take Care of Yourself I absolutely the world's biggest gym procrastinator. In my world the diet always starts tomorrow, lasts for a few days, then flops. But once I've slowly learned that it's a lifestyle, it's been so much easier. Going to the gym relieves my stress and helps me relax. Eating right relieves my self-consciousness. Not only will both get me one step closer to weight loss and healthier living, but the confidence it brings is overwhelming!

  3) Let It Roll It's so easy to get caught up in the nitty gritty day-to-day things that get us down. Maybe you missed a deadline, late to work, someone took there grumpiness out on you, or whatever it may be. Those things are so easily to be weighed down in! On days where I feel a little discouraged or down, I try to ask myself, "Will this matter 5 years from now? Will you even remember it in the grand scheme of life?". If the answer is no, let it roll right off your shoulders. Life is far too beautiful to let people and situations drag you down. You deserve better than that! Did you hear me? You. DESERVE. Better. Than. That.

  4) Schedule Some "You" Time Think about the things that make you the happiest? Going dancing with the girls? Coffee with a friend? A spa day? Throwing a holiday party? Whatever it is, do it! I am a firm believer that the people and things I surround myself with just add to my happiness. Positive people/surroundings mean a positive and better you!

.:::.:::.:::.:::.
As you all know, everyone is different, but I hope you will take these little optimistic nuggets to heart! Your one day closer to a happier you... I promise! Once again, thanks for letting me guest post, girlfriend! If any of you would like to come visit me, I would be happy to have you!! Thanks!
