Drawbridge officially down
I recently had a little Gchat with a friend of mine that has been stuck in my head for a couple days. To give you some context, this friend is a man who is married to a close girlfriend of mine...How we got on this line of talk isn't important.
1. Speaking in fairtytale metaphor about my personal life. Let's just go ahead and pretend its going to be a fairtytale.
2. My friend's husband refers to her as "the balls." Hilarity for lots of reasons.
3. I got the piece of advice to "let down the draw bridge." I don't know what that means, but I think it's a debauchery free pass.
So single women of the internet, I have it on good authority that we can all let down our draw bridges. Interpret it as you will, but that's what I call VALIDATION.

Me: I'm ready for my knight in shining armor :)
Friend: haha. well, while you're looking for that knight, it's always best to let down the draw bridge....I have no idea what that means. it's probably a metaphor
Me: oh the castle door is wide open
Friend: hahaha. i heart your rhetoric
Me: i even drained the moat.
Friend: hahaha
Me: I'm done with the frogs. the single world is a treacherous medieval wasteland.
Friend: grass is always greener on the other side. single life is easy...i'm not saying married life is hard cuz [wife] is the balls, but I'm trying to be optimistic for you.

There are lots of things I love about this conversation:
1. Speaking in fairtytale metaphor about my personal life. Let's just go ahead and pretend its going to be a fairtytale.
2. My friend's husband refers to her as "the balls." Hilarity for lots of reasons.

Perhaps a be-spectacled, semi-sarcastic princess is the type I'm emerging to be...
Well, just thoughts. Happy Wednesday night!
