April...sans accomplishment

Some of you may recall a little recurring segment about my monthly resolutions. For the 2nd of only 2 months that this game has existed I've failed miserably. You'd think an accountability program would make me achieve these goals, but I really I just feel guiltier than ever for not succeeding because I feel like the whole internet is watching me fail. Here's a quick run-down of what I didn't get done in April as planned:

1. Lose 5 lbs - I actually weighed-in at the month's beginning and end. Abysmal results. I have hired a trainer and am on a no-funnybusiness diet, but those are pretty new. Hopefully the lady lumps are starting to whittle down as we speak.

2. Clean out my apartment - Didn't even try. Apartment is still a jungle of unnecessary and superfluous items.

3. Read a book - I tried. I really tried. I'm about halfway through Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I'm having a hard time finishing because I'm not real wild about it so far. But that's no excuse.

4. Work on the Prince's discipline - This one is actually going quite well! He can sit, stay, come and go into his kennel on command! That has to do with the introduction of the magical Charlee Bear treats. Roll Over is next.

5. Try a few new recipes - Eh. I really only halfway did this one. I tried to make Spaghetti Pie, but it was sort of a fail. The noodle crust didn't quite work out. It was more like spaghetti mess. Delicious, but a flop. My new diet is forcing me to try some new leaner dinners, but so far there hasn't been much innovation on that front. Therefore, I'm not going to delineate a to-do list for May. I'm just going to generally endeavor to be a better me. The goals are going to be these same 5 things, but I think I freak out too much with the deadline in mind. We'll see how it goes...

  1. May is going to be a successful month!
